It has been exactly a week since the disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh, a law abiding citizen who has done nothing more than help the underprivileged regardless of race, religion or nationality
This raises serious implications for all Malaysians, that none of us are safe even on our busy streets.
We have heard of such kidnappings before in backward countries where law enforcement is lax but to have it happen in the heart of an urban centre in Malaysia is unthinkable.
The lack of updates from our police force on the progress of the investigation, even to the family of Pastor Raymond, compounds the fear that all Malaysians feel about this kidnapping.
The police force needs to be seen to be doing something and the silence they are keeping is disheartening.
Further to this, we have yet to hear of a single leader of our ruling government speaking out against this kidnapping and assuring all Malaysians that everything is being done to find Pastor Raymond and bring his kidnappers to justice.
It is our hope that we can find Pastor Raymond soon safe and sound.
In the meantime we continue to pray for Pastor Raymond and his family.
